Missouri Works Initiative's Apprenticeship Ready Construction (ARC) program prepares individuals for successful careers in the union construction industry by providing hands-on training, industry-recognized credentials, and direct connections to apprenticeship opportunities. The program serves unemployed, underemployed, and underrepresented individuals, helping them develop the skills, knowledge, and professional readiness needed to enter high-demand construction careers.

In FY26, MWI served 278 individuals, connecting participants to training, supportive services, and pathways into family-sustaining careers. Through strong partnerships with labor unions, contractors, and industry stakeholders, ARC helps meet the region's workforce needs while expanding access to competitive wages, comprehensive benefits, and long-term career advancement opportunities in the construction trades.
